Laura is a writer/editor, creative coach + consultant, artist, and grief + death care worker. These things come together with Soft Data, a platform she founded in 2021, where she weaves recent training into a 20-year career in arts journalism and creative direction to help folks attune to their life stories—including their end of life stories. Soft Data has practical as well as personal applications; she works as often with entrepreneurs and small businesses as stuck artists, grievers, and folks moving through chronic or serious illness.

Laura writes and edits a Substack publication called Griever’s Ball and, over Labor Day Weekend ’23, will produce and direct a commissioned work for Seattle’s Bumbershoot festival called Mourning Clothes.
