Roby Schapira

Robert “Roby” Schapira is the Strategic Initiatives Leader for Customer Growth Segments within Consumer, Small & Business Banking at Wells Fargo. In this role, he leads a team focused on developing strategy and driving initiatives that expand access to financial services and foster deeper customer relationships. His work centers on removing barriers to financial inclusion, supporting access to capital, and amplifying Wells Fargo’s impact in the communities it serves.

A 27-year veteran of Wells Fargo, Roby began his career as a part-time teller in 1998. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Arizona and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington.

Roby is also a passionate advocate for small businesses and the LGBTQ+ community. He is the co-chair of the Corporate Advisory Council for the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce and an immediate past Executive Board member of the GSBA, Washington’s LGBTQ+ chamber.

An accomplished speaker, Roby frequently shares insights on small business and financial inclusion with national and local media, nonprofit organizations, and industry forums.
