Laura Cassidy
Outreach Manager
After two decades in journalism and content direction, Laura (she/her) used the early pandemic years to begin building a new career serving communities in grief and loss. She’s trained as a grief work facilitator, a personal coach, and a death doula. She also spent a year assisting with funerals at a traditional funeral home before coming to Recompose.
In leading our outreach efforts, Laura derives a deep satisfaction from helping folks get to know the Recompose process and offerings. You’ll meet her if you come to one of our Community or Virtual Tours, or if she’s lucky enough to give a presentation at your workplace, residence, or neighborhood center. In her client experience role, Laura helps support our Precompose program and works closely with clients along what we call the Imminent Pathway.
Outside of work, what Laura enjoys most is being a friend/aunt/sister/daughter, making music with her partner, and wandering in the woods or near the water. She’s active in various art and culture circles in town and leads creative expression and listening groups as well as death awareness workshops.
