Casey Browne
Soil Specialist
Casey is excited to be part of the Soil Team, where her work reflects both a commitment to community care and a curiosity about more sustainable approaches to death care.
Her background is rooted in mission-driven work, primarily supporting folks with disabilities in living independently and accessing their communities. Through this work, she has developed experience in caregiving, operations, and community support, and brings a compassionate, detail-oriented, and curious approach to her role. She sees this work as a way to support people on both personal and broader community levels.
Originally from Georgia, Casey has lived in Maine, Colorado, and southern Arizona before making her way to Washington. She feels most at home outdoors, hiking, camping, gardening, or convincing friends to join her on one more “quick” adventure. She also enjoys comedy, reading, organizing, and DIY projects.
New to the Pacific Northwest, Casey is looking forward to new experiences and learning about native trees, birds, flowers, and plants; she hopes to spend more time paddling. She is always up for time with a good dog, live music, or a sunny patio, and brings a grounded, thoughtful presence to her work.
