Stacey Lenore (Ellis) Remlinger

August 20, 1970 – December 3, 2025

Stacey passed away peacefully at the age of 55 with her husband Scott by her side at Evergreen Hospice in Kirkland, WA after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Seattle, WA. She spent her very early years growing up in both Clearview, WA, and Bothell, WA. During this time in Bothell her parents were finishing building their forever home in Kenmore, WA. Stacey attended both elementary and junior high school in Kenmore and later her high school years at Inglemoor where she graduated in 1988.

Stacey was a hard worker. She learned her work ethics early on from both her parents. As kids Stacey and her siblings worked in their yard at home; weeding the gardens, mowing the lawn, raking leaves, or the dreaded stacking of firewood. They all did their part.

When she was in junior high she started working at Knoll Lumber Co. in Kenmore alongside her mom. In the later years of working there she met the love of her life, Scott Remlinger. Starting out as friends first their relationship grew into more over the next few years, and they married in June 1991.

Leaving Knoll’s during her junior year of high school, she had an opportunity to work at a chiropractic clinic in Bothell where she spent the next 11 years. After leaving there in the fall of 1998 she started her career at PACCAR at the end of that year. Little did she know this job was going to change her life, both personally and professionally. Early in her career at PACCAR she went back to school and earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Management. This degree would open many doors and give her opportunities that helped shape her life.

Stacey worked at PAACAR corporate offices in Bellevue for 16 years. During this time, she held positions in many different areas of the company. Each job she held not only taught her more about the company, but also how to be a good mentor and leader. In 2014, Stacey moved her desk over to the division offices of Kenworth in Kirkland.

She prided herself on her professionalism and hard work and valued everyone who she had the opportunity to work with. As she moved into management roles, she became an advocate and mentor to many. She would often say she knew she was successful when those she had hired climbed higher in their careers than she had in hers. She often told Scott that she hoped to someday work for someone she helped get a job there.

Outside of home and work, she had a fondness for many things. Spending time at their cabin in the Cascade Mountains near Leavenworth and being able to share it with friends and family were some of her happiest moments. She enjoyed a good bottle of wine. Traveling anywhere was always an adventure. She loved Hawaii and Disneyland and going to away Seahawks games (in which one was the Super Bowl in 2014). Her parents were original season ticket holders; a legacy she continued, and was a huge Hawks fan.

She loved 80’s rock and country music. Over the years, she’s attended numerous concerts both in Seattle and traveling out of town. She also loved musicals at the 5th Ave and Paramount Theaters in Seattle. This tradition started with her mom and grandmother then transitioning over the years to include her group of girlfriends.

She was a loyal friend; she always had time for her associates at work as well as her friends and family. Each friendship was special to her in their own way. She cherished all these relationships.

Stacey is survived by her husband Scott, brother Brent Ellis, brothers-in-law Mike Remlinger and Bertram Brock, Godmother to Quinn Beattie and Trent & Josie Suckut, and numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, and life-long friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert & Alvina Ellis, sister Shannon Brock, and numerous beloved kitties.

A Celebration of Life will be held later in the spring. In lieu of flowers, Scott suggests donations be made in her name to PAWS of Lynnwood or Evergreen Hospice of Kirkland.
