Help Bring Recompose to Oregon

We need your help to legalize the Recompose process in Oregon. Please submit your letter of support by 12pm PT on Monday, April 26.

Bringing Natural Organic Reduction to Oregon

Recompose is partnering with Representative Pam Marsh, House District 5, to bring forward HB 2574 to expand the ecological death care options available to Oregonians. If passed, HB 2574 will legalize Recompose’s process, natural organic reduction, in Oregon.

Thanks to the 80 Oregonians who sent in letters of support, HB 2574 successfully passed the Oregon House of Representatives in March 2021 with strong bipartisan support. The next step is a hearing in the Senate: On Monday, April 26, the Senate Committee on Health Care will hold a public hearing to consider the bill.

Public support will be critical to moving this proposed legislation out of the committee for a vote by the full legislature. Please see below for how to submit your letter of support by this Monday, April 26 at 12pm PT.

If you have any questions, please email Representative Marsh at Rep.PamMarsh@oregonlegislature.gov.

Thank you for helping bring ecological death care to Oregon!
