Recompose Community Fund

Recompose is committed to bringing ecological death care to as many people as possible. Generous contributions from our community drive the Community Fund and help make Recompose services accessible to people who could not otherwise afford them. Access to this funding is first-come, first-served, and is available once a death has occurred.

An Ecosystem of Generosity

As of September 2026, The Community Fund is now fiscally sponsored by the nonprofit Realize Impact. New contributions are tax deductible. Funding comes from private donors, proceeds from the Recompose metal recycling program, investor-contributed interest payments, and other contributions.

Since its inception, the fund has raised over $125,000 and benefited over 20 individuals.
