Sidney Bohden Mohorovich

April 18, 1997 – March 15, 2026

Sidney Bohden Mohorovich, 28, passed away tragically in a work-related accident on March 15, 2026 in Ketchikan, Alaska.

Sidney was born on April 18, 1997, to Todd and Eva Mohorovich. He is survived by his parents, his older brother Christian, and his beloved fiancée, Emily Brendle, whom he was set to marry in June.

Sidney and Emily lived in a cottage in Deming, with their adorable cat Bean. They enjoyed watching movies, playing Halo, and spending countless hours on their boat fishing. Together they nurtured a love that helped them grow into confident adults.

Sidney was raised in Spokane, Washington, during the first eight years of his life, and then spent most of his years in Whatcom County, with a few years in Montana after high school. He graduated from Mount Baker High School in Deming, Washington in 2015.

Sidney was an athlete, an adventurer, an avid fisherman, and a hard worker. He loved life fully, and his smile lit up every room he entered. He loved to draw, and growing up he enjoyed skateboarding, playing soccer, riding his bike, swimming in the lakes near home, hiking, and going on adventures. He worked and excelled in welding and mechanics, and he took great pride in creating projects and gifts for others.

Sidney built strong connections wherever he went. He grew up surrounded by a large, loving family and cherished the time he spent with his many cousins. He also found a deep belonging in the parkour community, where he built lasting friendships and a sense of family.

He showcased his parkour skills at a young age and was involved in various competitions throughout the US and Canada. He also competed in the World Chase Tag in London where his team gained a podium spot. He was known for agility, strength and endurance.

He had an impressive sense of humor, and a loving spirit. He spent countless hours with family and shared a particularly close bond with his parents, always making sure to hug them and tell them he loved them.

Sidney will be remembered for his adventurous soul, his generous heart, his deep love for those around him, and the joy he brought into the lives of so many. He will be profoundly missed.

In the 5th grade he achieved something special- he became a published poet- here is his poem:

Destiny

You

One light in all existence

A form of life, a form of you

You alone can shape your own destiny

You choose what goes and what stays

Yourself alone creates itself as you grow

On the outside you’re one of a million

On the inside you’re one of one

That one is you

Go shape your destiny

Go do something to make yourself feel alive
