Jussi Antero Keranen

March 6, 1956 – March 21, 2024

Jussi Keranen, 68, died peacefully on the morning of March 21, 2024, surrounded by his family, following a courageous battle against cancer.

Born in 1956, to Kalle and Liisa Keranen in Fort Benning, Georgia, Jussi spent his childhood living in Germany, North Carolina, and Norway, before his family settled down in Shoreline, Washington.

As a lifelong lover of the outdoors, Jussi spent his time hiking, skiing, mountain climbing, and camping. Once retired, Jussi moved to his farm on No Name Road, and enjoyed working on his land and home, boating on the Salish Sea, and his weekly sauna evening with friends.

Jussi is survived by his children, Raija (Aaron), Kaisa (O’Neil), Hanna (Dan), and Mikko (Taylor), five grandchildren whom he was most proud of, his ex-wife Monique, and a large community of friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, and many dear friends.

A celebration of life will be forthcoming.
