Megan Dougherty

1970-2021

Megan died at home in Enumclaw, WA on June 13, 2021 – just 12 days shy of her 51st birthday. She endured a 23 month battle with brain cancer with strength and determination.

Megan grew up in Bellevue, WA. As a teen, she expressed her unique style through vintage fashion and edgy hair & makeup. She graduated from Sammamish High School in 1988, and went on to pursue her passion in cosmetology. Megan was a sought after stylist at several salons in the Maple Valley and Black Diamond areas prior to opening the Lavender Hair Salon in Enumclaw.

Steve Dougherty and Megan were married in 1992 and just celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary. She was a proud mom of sons, McHale & Dillon and was thrilled to see them become such fine men. She lived for the outdoors, camping & dirt biking with her family, loved all wildlife, her dogs, live music, and a cold beer. She was a “grow your own veggies, make it from scratch” cook who loved to spoil her family.

Megan is survived by her husband Steve; sons McHale and Dillon; parents Denny and Kathy Olin; sister Amy Gillis (Tim); in-laws Monty and Elaine Dougherty; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who are like family.
