Annual Winter Solstice Memorial

Our 2023 Winter Solstice Memorial will be Thursday, December 21 at 3pm, Pacific

Our Solstice Memorial is an opportunity for the friends and family of those we have cared for to come together virtually, and take time to honor their person as we prepare for the changing of the seasons.

The Solstice Memorial will be hosted on Zoom by our founder and CEO Katrina Spade, and will include a slideshow featuring each person who has undergone the Recompose process in 2023 (and at the end of 2022). This event will also include a collective candle lighting and words from Recompose staff. We invite you to light a candle of your own.

Please fill out this form indicating if you would like to attend. We encourage you to share a photo and some words about what was done with your person’s soil (1-2 sentences). For those who decline to share a photo we will add your person’s name alongside a picture of nature.

Please note that submissions for this form will close on December 19th, 2023.

For those who would like to attend, a formal invitation with the Zoom link will be send out on December 14th. Note that the event will be recorded.

We look forward to sharing this remembrance with you.
